The Hardinge Group’s (
www.hardinge.com) plans for 2016, including the launch of the new Hardinge Bridgeport XR 630 FAX and XR 630 5F machines at MACH in April, were recently unveiled at a distributor conference at The Engineering Technology Group (ETG) Permanent Trade Show in Southam, Warwickshire.
Distributor representatives from as far away as South Africa and Russia were in attendance, along with a major presence from the Hardinge European distributor network — comprising some 20 countries in all.
The Permanent Trade Show (PTS), which features 12 operational machine tools in total, has a significant Hardinge presence. ETG technical and applications personnel were on hand to demonstrate the machines’ capabilities to those present.
Guests were jointly welcomed to Southam by ETG Group managing director Martin Doyle and Hardinge managing director (European sales and marketing) John McTernan.
Mr Doyle said: “This is exactly the sort of function that we had in mind when creating the PTS. As well as the machines in operation, we have the central theatre area, which was ideal to accommodate the numbers involved.
“We had many positive comments and importantly, the distributors found it a very useful forum.”
