Henkel Corporation (
www.henkel.com), the US subsidiary of Germany’s Henkel AG, has acquired Indiana-based Magna-Tech Manufacturing (
www.magnatechmfg.com), which is a market leader in vacuum-impregnation services and will operate as part of Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division.
Angela Cackovich, corporate vice-president (transportation and metals), said: “As vehicle light-weighting continues to accelerate, vacuum impregnation is taking on an increasingly important role in the automotive industry.
The addition of Magna-Tech as a subsidiary of Henkel will help to expand our role from a resin provider for vacuum impregnation to one that also offers process-centre services and equipment solutions.”
Magna-Tech CEO Rob Swords said: “Henkel’s impregnation capabilities are complementary to our own portfolio. I
look forward to a joint working relationship with Henkel and the opportunities that will result from this combined business environment.” Magna-Tech has 10 facilities across North America.
