MACH 2016www.kerfdevelopments.com).
The Plasmaster 3015 and 3015HD (heavy-duty) are described as entry-level plasma cutting machines. Until now, Rochdale-based Kerf has catered for customers wanting this type of machine with its refurbished stock.
However, the Plasmaster 3015 is said to give end users the option of a cost-effective machine while filling the gap between the company’s RUR range of high-definition plasma cutting machines and its second-hand options.
The Plasmaster 3015 at MACH will be shown with a 3 x 1.5m bed that can accommodate steel sheets up to 12mm thick. For heavier-duty needs, the 3015HD can support sheet thicknesses up to 25mm.
The bed of Plasmaster machines comprises a heavy-duty plate support system that contains individual dross bins for the removal of waste material.
Kerf designed the base to be free-standing (not connected to the machine frame), thus eliminating any potential shock loading issues and enhancing process reliability.
The company also built the machine with the Burny control and drive system, which features Smart HC intelligent height control.
Other machines on the stand will include a Kerf RUR high-definition plasma cutter featuring Lincoln Electric Spirit plasma units.
