MACH 2016 To boost productivity and spindle ‘run time’ on vertical and horizontal machining centres, milling machines and grinders, Tamworth-based Leader Chuck Systems Ltd (
www.leaderchuck.com) will demonstrate its extended MultiVice range (Hall 5 Stand 5304).
The MultiVice modular strip vice system can hold single or multiple components, with the number of strips used restricted only by the size of the machine’s table. For large components, strips can be fitted at strategic points on the table, with the jaws located only where they are required.
Indeed, as well as increasing the loading capacity of a machine tool table, Leader says that the MultiVice system can extend the capacity of other work-holding ancillaries such as tombstones and rotary trunnions.
The strips are produced from hardened tool steel and are available in three widths — 50, 75 and 100mm — and in respective lengths of 300-700mm, 430-730mm and 550-750mm.
