Dia-stron Ltd (
www.diastron.com), a Hampshire-based company that specialises in designing and manufacturing systems to test the strength of fibre materials, has been acquired by Judges Scientific (
www.judges.uk.com).
The latter, which has its headquarters near London Bridge and specialises in the manufacture of a wide range of scientific instruments, paid £2.75 million.
Dia-Stron, which is based in Andover, was established in 1987; it specialises in making systems to test the mechanical properties of fibres, primarily in relation to tensile strength.
