MACH 2016
Martin Spencer, managing director of Coventry-based GF Machining Solutions UK (
www.gfms.com/uk) — a supplier of EDM, milling and laser machines — says the company’s return to MACH for the first time since 2010 was a huge success.
“Over 350 different companies and some 480 visitors took time to meet company staff and see the four machines being showcased on our stand. Also pleasing was the fact that over 30% of the companies that visited our stand were ‘new’ to us. The CUT E 600 wire EDM machine in particular, which was making its UK debut, generated a significant number of enquiries.
In fact, we challenged visitors to look at the EDM machines being displayed by other exhibitors and see how they compared with our ‘E-type’ technology on a price-performance basis. Three companies came back to us and placed orders there and then for our new CUT E 600 machine.
“Our high-speed five-axis machining centre — Mikron MILL S 400U — also generated a significant number of serious enquiries, as did our Agie Charmilles CUT 200mS wire-cut EDM machine and FORM 200 die-sink machine.”
