MACH 2016
The team from Rugby-based HK Technologies Ltd (
www.mitsubishiedm.com) returned from
MACH upbeat with the quality and quantity of enquiries for the latest range of Mitsubishi EDM machines the company had been displaying.
Moreover, the team sold an MV2400 EDM machine and was confidently expecting a quick succession of orders in the weeks following the show.
HK Technologies’ managing director, Steven Wilcox, said: “Our lead generation was at least 40% above the last
MACH event, and the quality of enquiry far exceeded previous exhibitions. While at previous shows we had presented our full portfolio of machines on a single stand, we had a dedicated EDM stand this year .
This ‘sole focus’ strategy clearly paid dividends. ”The Mitsubishi MV2400 (pictured) wire-cut EDM machine — bought by a renowned metrology company that was also exhibiting at the show — offers an annealing length of over 350mm, allowing the machine to thread the maximum workpiece height.
”Also featured were a new ‘linear shaft drive system’ and Mitsubishi’s M700 control, which is intuitive in its use and features a 15in touch screen.
”The power supply is Mitsubishi’s new V350-V AE11 with DMX-S (digital matrix sensor). This is designed to ‘shape’ each spark to reduce electrode wear and minimise consumable cost; it also reduces power consumption and machine running costs."
