ABI UK Ltd acquired by CBPE Capital

Beverley-based ABI UK Ltd (www.abiuk.co.uk), which manufacturers caravan holiday homes, has been acquired by private-equity group CBPE Capital. The latter has bought a majority stake in the business, which employs 400 people, from corporate-finance advisory firm LGV Capital.

Mel Copper, chief executive of ABI, said: “The management team are investing alongside CBPE, which has a strong pedigree in the sector and has agreed to support the business in the next stage of its development. In LGV, the team found a great owner for the business in 2011, which shared its vision for growth. When LGV were looking to sell, we did not hesitate to ask for their advice again.”
