A Walsall-based manufacturer says that it has “consolidated its supply chain” with the acquisition of a local company.
Albert Jagger, which supplies commercial-vehicle components for a wide range of transport sectors, has acquired Prestwood Engineering, which is also based in Walsall and is a leading manufacturer of pressed components, welded assemblies and fabrications in the West Midlands.
The acquisition will see all 12 Prestwood employees join the 100-strong workforce at Albert Jagger.
The latter’s managing director, Garth Cooper, said: “We are now in the process of integrating the two businesses to achieve our goals.”
