
Ham Baker, a Stoke-based manufacturer of flow-control products for the water and waste-water sectors, is to bought out of administration by the Intrinsic Equity group (
www.hambakergroup.com).
Birmingham-based Intrinsic has now invested £5 million in Industrial Valves, Industrial Penstocks, Industrial Pipeline Solutions, IVL Flow Control and FJ Estates, as well as Ham Baker.
The purchase has also been supported by Alycidon Capital, with working-capital funding provided by Leumi ABL and Ratesetter.
Ham Baker dates back to the 19th century and last year recorded sales of more than £30 million. Intrinsic Equity director James Grenfell said: “The Ham Baker Group is a fantastic business that will benefit from this new investment and strategic leadership.
“The core business has always been profitable; it provides a great platform for us to focus on Ham Baker’s core technical solutions and product portfolio for the water industry.”
