Redditch-based Birmingham Prototypes, which specialises in sheet-metal work, is set to create six jobs and to boost production after securing a £60,000 grant (sourced by Central Finance through The Birmingham Growth Programme).
The company has been trading since 2004, supplying prototype pressings, bracketry, classic-car panels and low-volume work to the aviation, automotive and white-goods sectors; it counts Jaguar Land Rover among its customers (

Managing director Michael Adams said: “The scale of work we do here at Birmingham Prototypes varies from one-off bespoke parts to large projects containing multiple components — and to scheduled low-volume production parts.
“To continually develop and diversify our products, we needed to invest in our machinery and have the very best on the market.”
