Coventry-based Fanuc UK (
www.fanuc.eu) is urging UK manufacturers to prioritise skills and training for young people.
Since launching its purpose-built training facility in Ansty Park last May, the company has seen strong demand for robotics, robo-machines and CNC programming courses, as well as its long-standing apprenticeship scheme.
Anthony Bentham, customer services manager, said: “Our training-related services have been extremely popular over the past year, demonstrating the value that individuals and organisations place on automation-based skills.
“As an industry, I would suggest that we make 2018 the year of apprenticeships and training by taking a more proactive and collaborative approach to skills-based learning.”
