Suffolk-based MEL Group (
www.themelgroup.co.uk) has acquired EDS Engineering (
www.edseng.co.uk) — a Chelmsford-based precision engineering company — as part of its drive to become a £100 million turnover group.
EDS Engineering was founded in 1956 and provides services to the aerospace, defence and industrial sectors.
Its managing director, Stuart Clarke, said: “The acquisition will inevitably bring further opportunities at EDS, and the team here are looking forward to using their skills to good effect, as part of the enlarged group.”
