Chippenham-based Wavin (www.wavin.com), a leading supplier of plastic pipe systems and solutions, has officially opened a four-bay extension to its facility, following a multi-million-pound investment by parent company Mexichem.

This will enable Wavin to better respond to the changing needs of the market and its customers. It also creates a significant number of job opportunities.

Changes in transportation and handling procedures are expected to greatly reduce the carbon footprint of the business.

The Chippenham site uses 6,000 tonnes of recycled material annually and produces enough pipe to circle the planet every year.
