TDT recruits new service engineerRugby-based TDT Machine Tools, a leading supplier of high-quality CNC machine tools, is expanding its service provision in line with on-going company growth.

Phillip Braime — previously at Asquith Butler for nearly eight years — has joined the company as a service engineer; his extensive experience of machine tool service requirements will bolster TDT’s customer support offering.

TDT (www.tdt-machinetools.co.uk) offers milling machines from established brands such as Kafo, Fidia, Feeler and Pama, as well as turning machines from Feeler, OMG Zanoletti, IMT Intermato and Force One.

With sales increasing across a wide range of UK industry sectors, TDT took the decision to increase its service support.

The Kafo double-column range of machines is currently creating a lot of interest, and Mr Braime will oversee all aspects of the pre- and post-sales support for new and existing customers.

A former time-served apprentice, he worked at a manufacturer of robotic profiling machines before joining Asquith Butler. He said: “Moving forward, my role will be to oversee installations, develop preventative maintenance plans with customers around the UK, and manage our call-out activities.

"I’m looking forward to meeting our customers and discussing the optimum ways of looking after their machines.”
