TUI Airways has chosen Cardiff Aviation for a new aircraft maintenance ‘pipeline’ of 17 aircraft. The airline will put a series of Boeing 737-800s, 757s and a 767 through the St Athan Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for a wide variety of engineering works.
Cardiff Aviation (

Some of the aircraft are returning from Canadian airline Sunwing; they will undergo checks as well as cabin reconfiguration in readiness for TUI’s summer flying programme.
A spokesperson for TUI said: “We built up a good relationship with Cardiff Aviation last summer, when we needed extended MRO capacity on a flexible basis.
“The team at St Athan were extremely accommodating and completed all work to budget.”
