Engineering and manufacturing contractor RSE (Ross-shire Engineering) has acquired a majority shareholding in Leeds-based Saftronics (
www.saftronics.co.uk).
Formed in 1979, the latter specialises in process control systems and LV switchboards with applications in many
industrial sectors.
This marks another step south for RSE, as it continues to develop and expand its offering as a leading MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls) contractor to municipal and industrial water and utilities companies UK-wide.
Saftronics operates from a purpose-built 2,400m
2 facility and employs 110 people.
RSE’s managing director, Allan Dallas (
www.ross-eng.com), said: “We have worked extensively with Safronics and its staff over a number of years, and it will complement our services and growth strategy.
“Its focus on quality and innovation is a natural fit to what RSE is about as a company.”
With over three decades of experience, RSE offers a full service from project inception and detailed 3-D design through the fabrication, installation and commissioning stages — together with client training and subsequent operational and maintenance support.
The company is recognised for its modular water treatment plants.
