Chancellor of the Exchequer visits Reaction EnginePhilip Hammond, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, recently visited Reaction Engines’ Culham headquarters, where he
was briefed on recent milestones in the company’s SABRE development programme and saw how its proprietary technology has the potential to revolutionise thermal management across multiple applications.

CEO Mark Thomas said (www.reactionengines.co.uk): “It was a pleasure to show the Chancellor around our facilities and explain how SABRE will be a leading contender for the future of hypersonic flight and space access vehicles.

“He also met some of our graduates and apprentices and spent time with the team developing and commercialising applications derived from our ultra-lightweight heat exchangers.”

Reaction Engines has raised over £100 million in the last three years from public and private sources to support its transition from a successful research phase into development and testing of its engine.
