), the world’s first hybrid boiler system, which was invented by Mission Resources in Stratford-upon-Avon and uses domestic waste as fuel to heat water for commercial and domestic properties, has taken a major step to market with its first licence agreement.
Worcester-based James Clark Technologies (JCT) is gearing up to manufacture and start selling the game-changing innovation by the autumn of 2020.
JCT is led by Tristan Carmichael, who worked as an international product manager and project leader at Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH for over 10 years.
He said: “The HERU is a remarkable innovation. Our customers will be able to power their HERU at a comparable cost with their existing waste collection service.
"Not only do they benefit from the heat and hot water generated by their own resource collection and processing, but they also reduce CO2
"To be working in partnership with such an amazing innovation and bringing it to market is a real privilege.”
The partnership between HERU and JCT follows a recent successful trial at Wychavon District Council, where HERU is using the resources generated in the cafe to heat water.
