At Harting Technology Group’s third biennial ‘Outstanding Supplier’ awards at the end of March, Arburg (
www.arburg.com) was named
Premium Partner of the Year 2018 for “adherence to deadlines, product quality and reliability of its machines”.
Harting, which has its headquarters in Espelkamp, Germany, nominated nine suppliers this year, including for the first time suppliers of capital goods.
Harting, which specialises in industrial connection technology, currently has about 85 Arburg Allrounder injection moulding machines operating at locations around the world.
Oliver Giesen, sales director (Germany) for Arburg, said: “Harting has relied on Allrounder injection moulding technology since 1959; with regard to product quality and reliability, our two family-run companies are a perfect fit.”
Thorsten Opitz, who is responsible for global purchasing at Harting (
www.harting.com), said that planning reliability and co-operation are among the reasons for the enduring relationship between the two companies, along with world-wide support: “Arburg has supported us enormously with the installation of our new injection moulding production in the USA, and I am sure that our partnership will continue for decades to come.”
