A provider of remotely operated robotic crawlers and camera systems has announced a new strategic direction that will help position the business for international growth.
Spectis Robotics (formerly Inuktun Europe) has taken the decision to rebrand following the acquisition of Canada-based Inuktun Services Ltd in February (it was previously the European authorised distributor and service centre for Inuktun products).
Managing director Brian Storie retains full ownership of the Aberdeen-based firm, while its five-strong team has transferred across to the new company.
Mr Storie said: “I am excited to see what the future holds for Spectis Robotics, our staff, customers and suppliers.
“While our immediate focus will be on consolidating our existing position, the new identity will allow the business to spread its wings in terms of product offering and enter new markets.”

It has clients in many sector,s including oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and civil engineering.
The business is currently in discussions with potential partners about international distribution agreements, and it expects to recruit more staff later this year.
