Bombardier unveils the Learjet 75 LibertyBombardier recently unveiled its Learjet 75 Liberty, which will have a list price of $9.9 million, with first deliveries expected in 2020.

This is said to be the fastest aircraft in the light-jet sector; with a range of 2,080 nautical miles, it can connect Las Vegas to New York, Seattle to Washington DC, and Mexico City to San Francisco — non-stop.

Bombardier says the Learjet 75 Liberty is certified to the FAA’s stringent Part 25 regulations, which are applicable to commercial airliners, adding that most competitors in the light-jet category are certified to Part 23 regulations.

Tonya Sudduth, vice-president (operations) at Bombardier Aviation’s Wichita site, said: “I am extremely proud that the Learjet 75 Liberty will be built in Wichita, where the Learjet dream first ‘took flight’.

“The Wichita facility now has a diverse mandate, supporting Bombardier’s extensive fleet of business aircraft, but to introduce the newest member of this iconic brand is of special significance to our team.”
