Barnsley-based SolidCAM UK (
www.solidcamuk.com) will be hosting a ‘learn and lunch’ event on 11 September, which will give visitors the opportunity to see the company’s CAM developments working in conjunction with products from Schunk, the work-holding and gripping specialist.
Taking place from 10am until 1pm, the event will show how working with technology partners like Schunk can improve machine shop efficiency.
There will be SolidCAM presentations throughout the event, as well as live cutting demonstrations on a Romi D-800 vertical machining centre.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss their work-holding requirements with Schunk engineers; they can also talk to Quickgrind about cutting tools, Romi UK about machine tools, CGTech about CNC simulation, BLUM-Novotest about in-process inspection and Parmley Graham about smart collaborative robots.
On the Romi machine, Schunk will be demonstrating the versatility and flexibility of its Vero-S NSE clamping modules, as well as its SPM Plus 138 system, which provides deformation-free clamping on the entire circumference of difficult-to-hold workpieces up to 125mm in diameter.
