Starting next summer, UK-based travel group TUI (
www.tui.co.uk) will have a fourth aircraft based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA), and new routes to Fuerteventura and Heraklion will be added to destinations that include Mexico, Girona, Ibiza, Larnaca, Reus, Malaga, Lanzarote, Turkey, Mallorca, Tenerife and Zante.
Over 1.4 million passengers are expected to travel through DSA in the current financial year, and the new aircraft is expected to add another 136,000.
DSA chairman Robert Hough (
www.flydsa.co.uk) said: “Our relationship with TUI was established in 2005, when DSA first opened.
“Next year, we will celebrate 15 successful years together, during which time over 7 million TUI passengers will have passed through DSA.”
