A buyer is being sought for a Sussex manufacturer and supplier of flexible circuit boards that has gone into administration. Simon Thomas and Shelley Bullman of Moorfields Corporate Recovery have been appointed joint administrators of Teknoflex Ltd, which is based in Chichester and employs 100 people.
Mr Thomas said: “Teknoflex is a leading UK manufacturer, with a strong reputation for providing high-tech, niche products to a specialised market. With over 50 years of experience and high-quality in-house design, assembly and test facilities, the firm has a solid infrastructure in place.”
Teknoflex can trace its history back to the early 1950s, and it was one of the first UK manufacturers of rigid printed circuit boards. Acquired by the Dowty Group in the late 1970s, it became a private company in 1991 through a management buy-out. It ceased manufacturing rigid printed circuit boards in 1983 and is now focused on flexible circuit technologies.
