Perth-based Edwards Engineering (
www.edwardsengineering.co.uk) — a provider of mechanical, electrical and structural engineering services — has successfully managed the development and installation of a new £700,000 Blend Centre for local independent bottling company Broxburn Bottlers.
Incorporating facilities for filling and emptying tankers, vats and casks, the project was delivered in parallel with a bonded warehouse development.
Broxburn’s engineering manager, Bill Richards, said: “A high level of automation was specified for this project, and the new facility can operate with a minimum of personnel.
“The completed Blend Centre went smoothly into production, with frequent tanker movements and the cask warehouses filling up fast.”
