Jazeera Airways signs service deal with CFMJazeera Airways has signed a long-term Rate Per Flight Hour agreement with CFM International to support the LEAP-1A
engines that will power the airline’s fleet of 20 Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The agreement, with a list price of about $1.3 billion, covers 45 engines — including five spare ones.

CFM Services (www.cfmaeroengines.com) will provide maintenance services for them on a dollar per engine-flight-hour basis.

Jazeera Airways, which became the first Middle East operator of a LEAP-1A-powered A320neo in May 2018, currently operates four A320neo aircraft, which have logged more than 6,000 flight hours. The airline also operates nine CFM56-5B-powered A320ceo aircraft.

Rohit Ramachandran, CEO of Jazeera Airways, said: “The LEAP engine is a real asset to our daily operations in harsh environments, and we look forward to introducing more of these engines in the coming months.

"We have been really happy with the reliability and the best-in-class support provided by CFM over the years, so we are delighted to expand our relationship through this new agreement.”

By the end of 2019, CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines had logged nearly 7 million engine flight hours.
