CFM engine orders for 2019CFM International, which is a joint venture between GE Aviation (a division of General Electric of the USA) and Safran Aircraft Engines (a division of Safran of France), received orders and commitments for a total of 2,148 engines in 2019 — 180 CFM56 engines (commercial, military and spares) and 1,968 LEAP engines (including spares), worth more than $30.7 billion.

Between the first LEAP engine orders in 2011 and December 2019, CFM won more than 19,010 installed and spare engine orders (plus commitments) — worth more than $275 billion at list price.

The company also signed long-term RPFH (rate per flight hour) agreements with airlines to support their LEAP engine fleet operations.

It delivered 1,736 LEAP (installed and spare) engines in 2019 (compared with 1,118 engines in 2018), along with 391 CFM56 engines.

Gaël Méheust, president and CEO of CFM International, said: “2019 was a solid year for CFM (www.cfmaeroengines.com).

“The LEAP family continued to be the engine of choice for new single-aisle aircraft, surpassing 19,000 total orders, and the continued confidence our customers have shown in our products is humbling.”
