Close Brothers appoints machine broker specialistClose Brothers Asset Finance, a provider of tailor-made asset-based funding solutions to small- and medium-size businesses in the UK, has announced the appointment of Neil Ainge, a machine broker specialist, into the role of regional manager of the Finance for Industry team, part of the manufacturing division.

His appointment is part of Close Asset’s continued strategy of strengthening its sales teams with sector specialists. Mr Ainge has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, with the last 12 years spent with an asset finance and insurance brokerage where he specialised in the sale of machine tools to the engineering sector (www.closeassetfinance.co.uk).

He said: “My in-depth knowledge of both asset finance and machine tools will serve me well as I start the next chapter of my career. I am really looking forward to working closely with our customers, offering them a guided approach to ensure they purchase an asset that is a sound investment and works for their business.”

Chris Lillico, Close Brothers Asset Finance’s Manufacturing Division sales director, said: “Neil brings with him a wealth of experience and we will be looking to capitalise on both his finance and extensive industry knowledge and contacts. He will be operating under the Finance for Industry banner, noting his strong broker background.”

“Bringing Neil on board is a continued demonstration of our long-standing commitment to supporting the manufacturing SME community.”
