After closely monitoring the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and following the guidance from the Thai government and public health authorities, the organiser has made the decision to convert METALEX Vietnam 2020 to an online format.

The Metalex Vietnam 2020 team said in a statement: “We are in unprecedented times and continue to witness first-hand the challenging impact of Covid-19 on all industries, both professionally and personally.

“Prior to the recent escalation of Covid-19, we were optimistic that METALEX Vietnam would run as planned in October this year in Ho Chi Minh City.

“However, after extensive consultation with our customers and stakeholders, we have concluded that the best option is to refocus on maximising business opportunities through the delivery of an online event this year.

“We appreciate that it is disappointing that we will not be able to meet in person, however we have made this decision with everyone’s health and safety as our number one priority, coupled with upholding our commitment to keeping Vietnam’s machine tools & metalworking industry connected.”

The statement continues: “Metalex Vietnam Online will be live for two weeks starting 10 October with intensive major events happening on 23-24 October.

“We will be organising virtual meetings and business matching events, machinery show cases, new connections, tech talks and many more features to ensure our exhibitors can still meet customers and drive business success.”
