Local MP visits Pentaxia for a site tourDerby based Pentaxia recently welcomed Amanda Solloway, local MP and Under Secretary of State for Science, Research and Innovation, for a socially distanced site tour.

During her visit, Amanda met four of the senior Pentaxia team and was shown around the ‘state of the art’ facility.

From composite tooling to component manufacturing and surface coating, Pentaxia can deliver a complete composite solution under one roof. The company is a specialist in tooling design, machining, and composite production and has developed a strong reputation for cost-effective, on-time and high-quality manufacturing.

Stephen Ollier, Pentaxia managing director, said: “We are a rapidly growing advanced composite manufacturer and have created over 150 new jobs in recent years.

“We are continually investing in our own development and it was refreshing to see the drive and enthusiasm that Amanda brings to this important area of Government policy. Having an MP who champions local and national awareness in science, research and innovation has to be good for the people of Derby and our country as a whole.

“Advanced composites are an exciting area for development, often requiring less material to produce lightweight structures, they will make a significant impact on reducing environmental pollution”.
