Quality management specialist expands footprint in Far East UK-based G&P has increased its Far East client base by adding another world-leading Tier One automotive supplier to its growing overseas portfolio. Established in 1994, the company is a world-leading provider of total quality management solutions to the manufacturing industry, primarily in the automotive and aerospace sectors.

As part of the latest agreement, G&P personnel, including laboratory assistants and support technicians focusing on areas such as chassis, braking and steering systems, are being deployed in three plants around China. They will be responsible for technical inspection, reworking and testing to ensure the highest-quality manufacturing standards are maintained within the operating facility and supply chain.

G&P’s new client produces a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and technologically advanced systems for passenger cars, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as trucks, buses and motorcycles, among other industrial applications.

Steven Lu, operations director at G&P in China, said: “This latest agreement further endorses G&P’s position as the leading provider of quality management services to the world’s biggest and most important automotive companies and those in the supply chain, as well as other manufacturing sectors including aerospace.”

Aside from automotive, other areas of specialism for G&P’s latest customer includes aviation technology as well as marine and off-highway components, fields in which G&P has particular expertise in quality management.

Geoff Cousins, chairman at G&P and former managing director at Jaguar UK, said: “G&P has more than 25 years’ experience primarily in the automotive and aerospace sectors, and more recently in marine, defence and household goods, with a proven track record for improving quality, efficiency and profitability for our clients. Another prestigious client win is further evidence of G&P’s high standing within these industries.”

Founded in 1994, UK-based G&P now has a global presence, operating in more than 100 manufacturing facilities around the world. To date, the company has completed more than 120,000 quality management projects for its manufacturing customers and in one year alone its work helped its customers reduce their levels of waste by more than £2.5 billion.
