As of 2 November, Poland-based
Fabryka Narzędzi FANAR S.A. (Fanar), a manufacturer of solid round tools, was acquired by
Seco Tools — enhancing the latter’s product offering in solid threading.
Fanar will initially operate as an independent company and continue to sell its products under the Fanar brand, while also strengthening the position of Seco in the Polish market.
Oskar Edqvist, Seco vice-president strategy and product management, said: “I am very pleased that we now can strengthen our competence and experience within threading products and solutions. The fact that Fanar has become part of the Seco family will enhance our presence in the important Polish market and will create a platform to further grow business in the region.”
The product offering from Fanar covers an extensive range of high-performance taps and other threading products as well as solid carbide drills and end mills.
