MSC Industrial Supply Co UK (MSC), a leading national supplier of ‘metal working and maintenance, repair and operations’ (MRO) products and services, will be exhibiting at MACH 2022 (Hall 6, Stand 310), near the entrance to the Engineering Supply Chain Show. The event is taking place from 4-8 April at the NEC, Birmingham.

As a supplier of over 120,000 metal working, safety and MRO products, MSC gives it customers access to over 500 industry-leading brands, online purchasing controls and just-in-time delivery.

With solutions designed for all business needs, MSC also helps manufacturers and engineering firms with documented cost savings, apprenticeship consultancy, and change management — giving customers more control, as well as time and cost savings.

The company’s stand will display a deconstructed aerospace jet engine, illustrating the complex mix of product applications from a variety of aerospace-grade alloys that are typically produced by leading aerospace manufacturers in the UK. Each year, along with supplying products, MSC supports aerospace manufacturers producing similar components with its engineering expertise.

MSC’s engineering team, which has ‘a wealth of application expertise’, will be on the stand throughout the event, showing real-world examples of how the company has partnered with manufacturers to improve their processes and manufacturing capabilities, as well as sharing unbiased engineering advice on everything from continuous improvement to cost reduction activities, to providing foundations for the digital shopfloor of the future.

Next Gen Makers

Furthermore, MSC says the company sees its role as more than a distributor of industrial products; visitors will learn how its partner — Next Gen Makers — can support engineering and manufacturing businesses on how to better plan for attracting and retaining apprentices.

Completing the stand is MSC’s ControlPoint, an inventory management solution for the consolidated purchase of tooling, PPE and consumables using on-site vending machines that allow customers to have 24/7 access to products without having to leave their factory floor. The service also integrates bespoke reporting for accountability, visibility, and control.

Dave Darby, MSC’s managing director, said: “We are really looking forward to MACH and showcasing why manufacturing and engineering businesses should expect more from their supply partners.

“A strong partnership should not just be about products and price, a supply partner should be supporting businesses to innovate, become more efficient and ultimately more financially secure, especially during these challenging times.”
