Hexagon acquires software reseller TST Tooling Software TechnologyBased in Stockholm, Sweden, Hexagon AB, a ‘global leader’ in digital reality solutions combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies, has confirmed its acquisition of TST Tooling Software Technology, which has its headquarters in Clarkson (Michigan) and is the USA and Canada master distributor of VISI (Hexagon’s dedicated CAD/CAM software for the mould and die sector), and the PEPS CAM programming software for laser and wire EDM machines.

In addition to distributing PEPS and VISI, TST also develops its own range of applications that work within the VISI interface — and provides support, training and consultancy for customers throughout North America. TST employs a team of 18 who will continue to support Hexagon’s production software portfolio in North America as part of the direct organisation.

Paul Rogers, president — North, Central and South America — for Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division, said: “TST has an excellent reputation in the mould, die and machining market. VISI and PEPS customers in North America are extremely appreciative of the training and support provided by their team. I am excited to bring their skills, expertise and market experience into Hexagon and certain that they will positively impact the experience and value we offer to customers.”

TST Tooling Software Technologies will be consolidated within Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division. The acquisition has no significant impact on the results of Hexagon, which has some 22,000 employees in 50 countries and net sales of around 4.3 billion euros.
