Swedish company
Atlas Copco Ltd has acquired
Glaston Compressor Services Ltd, a compressed air distributor and service provider based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. Glaston is a privately owned company that was founded in 1979 and employs 26 people. It has a wide range of customers in the manufacturing industry — both large and small companies.
Alexander Pavlov, general manager of Atlas Copco Compressors UK, said: “We are making this acquisition to further increase presence in the north west of England. Glaston is a well-established provider of compressed air and industrial gas solutions, with a broad customer base. The product ranges offered by Atlas and the professional service provided by Glaston are a very good match and enable us to increase our customer offer in the region.”
Michael Douglas, branch manager at Glaston, said: “We feel honoured to be part of the Atlas Copco family. Moving forward my staff will have access to a broad range of air compressors, blowers, process water chillers, and vacuum pumps, as well as the support of a large world-class team behind us, which will allow us to take our customer service and customers’ energy savings to the next level.”
The company will now become part of Atlas Copco Compressors UK.
