Ultraseal International, a global leader in porosity sealing, has acquired a German-based provider of impregnation services and manufacturer of impregnating resins as part of its strategic plan to increase its presence within Europe.
Maldaner GmbH, a German subsidiary of Ultraseal, has acquired VDT Vakuumdichttechnik GmbH, based in Monheim am Rhein. Maldaner GmbH, founded over 60 years ago, is a leading provider of impregnation services in Germany, for castings, powder metal and electrical components to a loyal base of customers nationwide.
Gary Lloyd, Ultraseal managing director, said: “VDT has also been providing impregnation services, covering similar industries for 16 years. VDT will now concentrate its existing services within Maldaner’s headquarters in Langenfeld. It is another important acquisition for the business and one that expands and strengthens Ultraseal’s presence within Europe, allowing Ultraseal to support more customers.”
Ultraseal recently acquired
Baron Industries based in Madison Heights, Michigan, an impregnation service business as part of its strategy to expand its geographical presence in North America. With a facility in Tennessee, the company provides vacuum impregnation services of castings, powder metal and electrical components to a loyal base of OEM customers.
