Optimax to highlight production metrology at MACH 2024Market Harborough-based Optimax Measurement Solutions will be putting the spotlight on innovative production metrology at MACH 2024, taking place 15-19 April at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 18, Stand 610). As a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) approved supplier, Optimax delivers and supports high-quality inspection and measurement systems, supporting the UK manufacturing industry.

The Optimax stand will feature a comprehensive range of instruments that can be seamlessly integrated into manufacturing processes for inspection and measurement purposes. Among the products on display will be 3-D scanners, vision inspection instruments, vision CNC three-axis measurement systems, benchtop optical comparators, coordinate measurement machines (CMMs), and autonomous artificial intelligence (AI)-based automated machine vision.

The eviXmatic 2.0 automatic five-axis 3-D scanning and measurement system from eviXscan will be highlighted — it enables the measuring and quality inspection of objects with minimal operator involvement. A dedicated ‘automation’ module built into the scanner software allows the user to connect the device with the scanner in a straightforward way. The eviXmatic was developed to undertake repetitive, fast, precise measuring and quality inspection tasks and is a valuable addition to any production line where objects of complex shapes need to be verified.

The Bruker Alicona InfiniteFocus G6 3-D optical metrology system will also be showcased. It is an accurate, fast, and universal optical 3-D measuring instrument designed for optical surface roughness measurement and shape measurement and is suitable for all surfaces including smooth and highly polished surfaces. Operating within the micron and sub-micron range, it provides precise results regardless of component size, material, geometry, weight, or surface finish — and all this is accomplished with just one optical sensor. This system can be fully automated using the MetMax software which does not require users to have any specific metrology knowledge to perform robust measurement tasks with the CMM — the knowledge of how to best capture and evaluate 3-D data is built into the software.

A third featured product will be the Inspekto S70. This is a fully equipped ‘out-of-the-box’ industrial visual inspection product with unprecedented simplicity and immediacy, that can be operationally deployed in less than one day. It combines a unique electro-optics system with the breakthrough Autonomous Machine Vision AI (AMV-AI) technology, to deliver a visual quality inspection solution that is versatile, extremely easy to deploy, adapts to changes in the production line and requires no machine vision expertise.

The Optimax stand will also display HD and manual remote visual inspection borescopes, along with a selection of handheld measurement tools for everyday use. For those seeking integrated solutions, Optimax also offers tailored options by combining various products to meet individual customer requirements.
