Northamptonshire-based Metal Craft Industries UK Ltd has ‘welcomed home’ Albert Delpino as the company’s new production manager, rekindling a connection that spans three decades. He started his long career in the manufacturing industry at Metal Craft Industries at the age of 16 as a trainee sheet metal worker, and now, after 30 years, he is returning to the Wellingborough company. His extensive experience covers sales, finance, purchasing, programming lasers, CAD design, and man management, making him a versatile and invaluable addition to the leadership team.

Mr Delpino said: “Rejoining Metal Craft Industries was easy for me, although 30 years have passed since I did my initial training there. Since then, I have picked up a wealth of experience in a variety of roles across the industry. Metal Craft has long been known for the quality of its products, and I am excited to lead a team with the passion and commitment to ensure this excellent reputation continues.”

His vision for Metal Craft Industries involves leveraging his in-depth knowledge of production and CNC processes to enhance the production environment and he emphasised the importance of building a team that mirrors his ambition and dedication.

“When I joined Metal Craft Industries as a trainee sheetmetal worker, I was immediately impressed by the range of products and the range of production processes the company offers. At that time, our main activities were in manufacturing garage service tools, supermarket food preparation equipment, prototypes for various engineering and OEMs.”

His journey within the manufacturing industry fuelled Albert’s ambition to be in charge of production, a goal he has now achieved with his return to Metal Craft Industries. He added: “Getting to know all the processes in their entirety has given me a whole new perspective and a challenge which I am definitely up for during the coming months.”

Reg Larkin, Metal Craft Industries’ managing director, welcomed Mr Delpino’s return, acknowledging the wealth of experience and passion he brings to the team. He said: “Albert's return to Metal Craft Industries signifies not just a reunion, but the convergence of expertise and ambition. His diverse background in the industry aligns seamlessly with our commitment to delivering top-notch products across various sectors. We are thrilled to have him back, and I have full confidence that his leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of the company.”
