The ‘one-stop-shop’ sells out at MACHThe Kerf stand at MACH was busy all week

Returning to the MACH exhibition with a complete range of new technologies and UK exhibition premieres, Kerf Developments sold a number of new machines at MACH 2024. The Rochdale manufacturer and supplier of oxy/fuel, plasma, waterjet and fibre laser cutting machines debuted two new machines at the show. With a complete range of cutting solutions appearing alongside automated cutting and welding solutions from technical partner Lincoln Electric, the stand was a hive of activity all week.

Commenting on the company’s performance at MACH 2024, Kerf Developments managing director Dan Taylor, said: “With the current industry forecasts and capital expenditure strained by market conditions such as interest rates and inflation, we did not know what to expect — but by the end of day one, our apprehension was dispelled and we were delighted with the enthusiasm and receptiveness of show visitors to invest.

“We sold a number of cutting solutions at MACH and we have a high number of ‘red-hot’ leads that are planning on closing orders in the coming weeks. The show was certainly more successful for Kerf than MACH 2022 and there was a higher number and calibre of visitors. Overall, we are delighted with the show, especially with machines sold ‘off-the-stand’ at MACH to longstanding customers like AJS Profiles.”

Nestled among some of its competitors at MACH, the Kerf stand stood out with the crowds drawn to both the company’s complete range of cutting solutions and also the new machines. One machine making its MACH show debut was the new Kerf Ultra. With both oxy/fuel and plasma cutting in a single machine solution, this combination machine expands the cutting capabilities, flexibility and processing speed for end users while reducing set-up time and material changeovers. This proved a gamechanger for a lot of visitors that wanted flexibility beyond a machine with a single type of cutting process.

The second new machine at MACH 2024 was the new Linc-Cut Fiber 1530A fiber laser system that is also brand new to the UK. Designed to produce the best cutting quality with linear guidance, dynamic kinematics, helical drives, rigidity and precision that is the benchmark of the industry — this machine stood above its competitors at MACH.

Bringing this machine to the UK in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, the world’s leading cutting and welding manufacturer, the Linc-Cut Fiber 1530A is available as a 3kW, 6kW or 12kW machine with a 3 x 1.5m or 4 x 2m bed. The exciting new arrival incorporates a host of ‘state of the art’ technology with features such as Flycut, Fast-Cutting, Smooth Microjoint, Frame Border, Circle Centring and Collision Avoidance that will collectively boost productivity and cutting speed for the end user.
