
Global engineering technologies company,
Renishaw, has appointed Kasim Hussain (pictured) as its new group general counsel and company secretary. Mr Hussain, who joined Renishaw in July, is leading the Group’s legal, compliance and company secretarial functions, including the regional legal and compliance teams. Mr Hussain has substantial experience of working in a listed environment. He will provide strategic direction to Renishaw’s board of directors and executive committee, while advising the company on all matters of risk and governance.
Prior to joining Renishaw, Mr Hussain was Group divisional counsel at the FTSE 100 global engineering group, Spirax Group plc, and previously held roles in private practice, undertaking M&A at a number of leading international firms including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Addleshaw Goddard. He studied Law at the
University of Warwick and is a practising solicitor in England and Wales.
