Based in Stockton-on-Tees and a leading name in premium commercial vehicle conversions,
CPD Bodies Ltd is celebrating a successful 2024 with significant growth, award recognition, a new rebrand, and additional staff.
The company, which was founded in 2009, delivers bespoke vehicle solutions to sectors that include logistics, construction, utilities, and emergency services. In 2024 alone, CPD will have completed over 5,500 vehicle conversions — a marked increase on the 2,800 in 2019, thanks to the shift from batch to line production to meet increased demand. The company now produces a ‘Tipper’ every 45min, a ‘Dropside’ every 2hr, and a ‘Luton’ vehicle every 2hr. CPD Bodies operates on a 32-acre facility and has secured type approval with all major OEMS.
CPD has subsequently been recognised for its rapid growth, being named third in the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 list for 2024. Cathal Doocey, CPD’s founder and managing director, said: “It is an honour to be recognised in the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 list. This achievement reflects the dedication of our team and our commitment to delivering top-quality products and services to clients nationwide. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on innovation and investment to stay ahead in the commercial vehicle conversion market.”
CPD has bolstered its leadership team with two new key appointments. Tina Lynas joins as finance director, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial management within the commercial vehicle industry, while Tom Pearson has been appointed as commercial director, bringing ‘a wealth of experience in business development and commercial strategy’.
His proven track record of growing market share and building strong customer relationships will help drive CPD’ future growth and success. Mr Doocey said both appointments mark a key moment for CPD Bodies as it celebrates its 15th year of trading and looks ahead to the future.
