Hat-trick for Matchmaker CNC

Hat-trick for Matchmaker CNC Matchmaker CNC, the Leatherhead-based supplier of CNC machine tools and flexible manufacturing systems (www.matchmakermc.co.uk), has reported its third consecutive year-on-year sales growth.

Sales of new machines have been driven by a buoyant manufacturing sector and the development of the range offered by the company. New additions to its portfolio of machines include high-speed VMCs from Matchmaker, vertical lathes from Honor Seiki and five-axis machining centres from Tong Tai.

Matchmaker CNC also secured the Unisign agency earlier this year, selling the first of these machines in the UK to the Hymec Group. The company’s director, Colin Donhue, said: “We are extremely pleased with the continued growth in sales, and we are reassured by the diverse spread of customers that are choosing Matchmaker CNC as their machine tool partner.

"Sales have come from all industry sectors and have ranged from single-machine orders through to multiple-machine installations. What is particularly pleasing about the current situation is the positive response we are getting from all manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, oil and gas, mould-and-die, and general engineering.

"The air of confidence that we see in our customers is not only encouraging but also backed up by national surveys showing that manufacturing continues to see a real upturn in fortunes — both in the domestic and export markets.”
