Made in Britain, the trade association that represents over 2,200 British manufacturers, has relaunched its popular interview series
UnPacked, offering a fresh look at the people and processes driving innovation across the UK’s industrial landscape.
Presented by broadcaster and journalist Matthew Stadlen, UnPacked profiles individual manufacturers from a wide range of sectors, exploring their approaches to leadership, sustainability, and production. Each episode provides a behind-the-scenes view of how distinctive British-made products are developed and delivered.
The second series launched on Friday (5 September) with an episode featuring Thor Hammer, a specialist in soft-faced hammers manufactured in Birmingham. View it now on the link below. New episodes will be released weekly via the Made in Britain website.
John Pearce, Made in Britain CEO, said: “UnPacked allows us to showcase the ingenuity and drive of our members. These are businesses making a real impact — not just commercially, but socially and environmentally. We hope the series will inspire others and highlight the strength of British manufacturing.”
The return of UnPacked coincides with the launch of Made in Britain’s new Environmental and Social Value certification, designed to help members demonstrate their positive impact and strengthen their position in competitive procurement processes.
Mr Stadlen said: “Meeting the people behind these businesses has been a privilege. Their passion and innovation are helping to shape the future of British manufacturing.”
The first series featured interviews with industry leaders including Mark Morris (Thomas Dudley), Shalom Lloyd MBE (Naturally Tiwa), and Stu Warmington (British Drum Company).
