Helix, an electric motor and inverter specialist and a trading name of Integral Powertrain Ltd, has achieved ISO 14001 certification, marking a significant milestone in its environmental strategy. The certification, recognised globally as the benchmark for environmental management systems, follows a year of focused sustainability initiatives across the business.
The company has implemented a comprehensive environmental management system, supported by an ESG Steering Group, and conducted its first carbon audit to assess its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Measures to reduce operational emissions include the installation of solar panels and a shift toward ‘green’ electricity at its Milton Keynes site.
Helix is also advancing its approach to ethical sourcing and recyclability, particularly in relation to rare earth minerals used in its high-performance motors. In the first half of 2025, the company recycled over six tonnes of metal waste and improved its general waste management practices.

Helix joins several of its partners, including Aston Martin, Czinger, Volkswagen and Triumph, in achieving ISO 14001, strengthening its ESG credibility across the mobility and manufacturing value chain. The company is also contributing to wider industry efforts, including its involvement in the
Decarbonising Midlands Aerospace Cluster project, which aims to cut UK aerospace emissions by 90% by 2050.
