BLM Group yesterday held a press conference to announce the successful completion of its
Innova 2025 Open House in Levico Terme, which took place from 24 September to 8 October. The event showcased the company’s latest integrated manufacturing technologies to over 800 visitors who were able to see first-hand advanced multi-technology work cells, innovations in sheet laser cutting and welding, fast-change bending systems, and high-precision Lasertube solutions for large diameters. Under the theme ‘Turn on the Light’, the event highlights BLM Group’s commitment to smart, sustainable manufacturing and human-centric innovation.

Taking centre stage were the new LTX and LT6 Lasertube models which offer an affordable entry into tube-laser cutting, with ergonomic design and automatic adjustments for ease of use. Also on display were: an LT14 FIBER (pictured left) which introduces Beamshaping technology for high-quality cuts on thick and reflective materials; an E-TURN63 tube bender which handles large, high-strength tubes with right- and left-hand bending — powered by VGPNext software it is compatible with automated loading systems; an LS9 sheet laser cutter featuring linear motors for 3.5g acceleration and Active Tools for optimised performance, paired with BLM’s automatic loading/unloading system; an LT-FREE, five-axis laser cutter, which now includes ArGo software and enhanced operator tools for flexible 3-D part processing; and an LW-S robotic welding cell which delivers precise, repeatable welds with configurable part-holding options.
BLM Group’s automation strategy integrates machines, software and robotics to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and boost productivity — a fully automated factory was demonstrated at Innova producing an automotive component which was an impressive highlight.
Furthermore, BLM’s Plug & Bend tooling simplifies setup with quick-release devices and compatibility across bending tools, enabling fast production starts without operator expertise and the company’s BLM’s e-commerce platform allows online tool design and purchase via VGPNext or VGP3D, with rapid-change plates and consumables also available.
Software developments include enhanced automation in ArTube for Lasertube programming and new features in Prometheus for production scheduling. These tools reflect BLM Group’s ongoing R&D investment.
