Ready has introduced RUN, a new line of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) designed specifically for use in production environments. Developed to meet the evolving needs of modern manufacturing, RUN combines precision, robustness and ease of use to deliver metrology-grade results directly on the shopfloor. The system enables fast inspection, feedback and control at every stage of production, transforming measurement from a back-end validation step into an active driver of manufacturing performance.
RUN was created with a clear objective — to make measurements simple, fast and reliable. The machines integrate seamlessly into production workflows, with linear motors guaranteeing maintenance-free operation and eliminating the need for air supply or lubrication. This ensures long-term reliability even in demanding environments.
Ease-of-operation is central to RUN’s design. The Easy Runner interface allows operators to load and execute inspection programs with a single touch, while the moving table and optional clamping kit provide quick and ergonomic part handling. Robot integration is facilitated by the moving table structure, keeping both portal and measuring head outside the moving range to increase safety during setup and allow faster part loading. Switching between parts takes only seconds — operators simply scan a barcode to load a new program, and the machine performs measurement and reporting automatically.
RUN systems incorporate advanced features to guarantee accuracy and repeatability under real shopfloor conditions. These include an automatic stylus cleaning unit and an active anti-vibration granite base with pneumatic dampers, ensuring precision that lasts. Designed for both end-of-line control and in-process verification, RUN delivers immediate measurement data to help manufacturers prevent deviations, reduce scrap and shorten setup times. Integrated CAD import and GD&T analysis provide complete insight into part geometry, accelerating process improvement and ensuring compliance with specifications.
