Litchfield, the globally renowned tuning house, has achieved a landmark appointment as an official
Nissan authorised service and high-performance centre, making it the first independent specialist in Europe to join Nissan’s network. This recognition underlines the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting GT-R owners and the depth of technical expertise developed through years of intensive work on the model.
As part of its new status, Litchfield will provide the full range of official Nissan servicing, following factory-approved procedures and using genuine parts alongside advanced diagnostic equipment. Customers will also benefit from the specialist knowledge that has established Litchfield as one of Europe’s leading GT-R experts, with in-house facilities covering engine building, electronics, geometry, performance development, and track preparation.
Milestone momentManaging director Iain Litchfield said: “This is a milestone for our business and something we are proud to share with our customers. We have had the pleasure of working with the R35 GT-R since we attended the launch at the
Tokyo Motor Show and imported the first car into Europe at the beginning of 2008. We have been maintaining and upgrading them ever since. Being invited into Nissan’s official network is a strong endorsement of the standards our team works to every day. Our goal has always been to give owners the best possible support and this new status allows us to take that a stage further.”
The appointment follows a period of significant investment at Litchfield, including new workshop buildings, specialist equipment, and an expanded technical team. The site now features 25 ramps and a workforce of 50 across technical, parts, and administrative roles.
