Archer selects Bristol for its UK Engineering HubUS-based Archer, which has its headquarters in San Jose, California, has selected Bristol as the home of its UK Engineering Hub, which will support some of the company’s ‘most advanced engineering initiatives’ across both its commercial and defence programmes.

Archer says Bristol has a long history of aerospace innovation, a ‘deep well of talent’, and offers an ideal location for the company’s UK hub. “Since our announcement in December of plans for this UK hub, we have received hundreds of applications and have begun hiring engineers to help Archer deliver the next era of advanced aerospace and defence. This workforce will help drive Archer’s local collaboration with www.anduril.com/uk Anduril UK and www.gknaerospace.com GKN, initially focused on the companies’ joint work in support of uncrewed vehicle programmes in the UK.”

Adam Goldstein, Archer’s CEO and founder, added: “We want to hire the best engineers the UK has to offer. Bristol has a strong industrial base and a deep talent pool that makes that possible. This market is a big area of focus for us moving forward and our UK hub will be our home base.

He concluded: “Archer’s defence work is anchored by our strategic partnership with Anduril, which selected Archer as its exclusive partner to develop a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft tailored for the US and allied defence applications.”

Archer is currently hiring ‘exceptional engineering talent’ for its UK Engineering Hub.
