Starrag highlights full range from minute to massive at MACH

Starrag highlights full range from minute to massive at MACHMACH 2026 proved a resounding success for Starrag with high-quality enquiries and stand visitor numbers far exceeding previous MACH exhibitions.

Demonstrating its position as a technology leader across a wide range of demanding machining tasks, the Swiss machine manufacturer presented a complex turbine head that can be fully machined to the highest quality standards in the shortest possible time on the company’s Bumotec 191neo machine.

With a well-earned reputation in sectors from aerospace and power generation to the offshore sector, the Bumotec 191neo high-precision multi-task machining centre was one of the few machines from the Starrag portfolio small enough to fit on a stand at MACH.

Regardless, this machine, which is well-known for its small part machining capability, demonstrated its seven axes and exceptional flexibility at MACH – and visitors were attracted by the opportunities it presents for complex one-hit machining in sectors such as luxury goods, medical technology, micromechanics, and avionics industries.

The Bumotec 191neo is characterised by impressive productivity and precision. In addition to its exceptional stability, this is also due to the high torque of the Starrag milling spindle, the fast tool changer, and the excellent thermal properties. All in all, this enables high machining speeds and excellent surface finishes – regardless of the material or the complexity of the workpiece.

Starrag machines are by no means limited to small components. They cover machining across all size ranges, including huge, heavy workpieces that can be machined on Droop+Rein machines. This extensive expertise was also presented at MACH 2026, with Starrag’s industry experts demonstrating the breadth of the portfolio to stand visitors.

Commenting on the MACH exhibition, Starrag UK’s sales director Lee Scott said: “MACH was another huge success for Starrag UK, and the quality and quantity of enquiries have been exceptional. As a marquee brand, we are recognised by manufacturers in all industry sectors, but the beauty of having a compact Bumotec 191neo on the stand was the awareness it presented to our larger part manufacturing customers of the sheer diversity of our portfolio.

“Demonstrating our unique project-oriented expertise in everything from the minuscule to the massive, in sectors from the automotive to the aerospace, and the power generation industry is something that genuinely drove enquiries at MACH. With the Bumotec 191neo enjoying major success in the Irish medical industry as well as the luxury goods markets worldwide, we had a lot of enquiries that revolved around the one-hit machining of complex small parts.”
